Week 29

As the title suggests, I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and it has been a wonderful journey for me. When I first found out I was pregnant, I think it was 4 weeks or so, I found out early because I have regular menstrual cycle and never missed my period, so when I missed one, that's a tell tale sign already.

I did the home pregnancy kit thingy and 2 lines came up. Honestly, I didn't feel much at that time other than thinking, God, this is too early. I told Hadi and 3 days later, we went to the clinic to confirm the pregnancy.

I think the first time I was excited was when I saw bubs on screen during my second ultrasound. The first was just the sac and nothing more, but the second ultrasound, bubs has a heartbeat already! I think Hadi was only started to get excited after the detailed scan we did at Sonovision with Jezzlyn, she has such rave reviews from my friends so we went with her. It was an amazing experience. We got to see toes, fingers, the heart, a little bit of the face, bubs wasn't cooperating and kept on showing us the back side LOL. Alhamdulillah, bubs was perfect and healthy, insyaAllah.

My pregnancy has been an easy one. I had no morning sickness at all, my appetite is thriving, my weight increases gradually (I only gain around 4 kgs for the past 7 months) and my tummy is pretty small. However, I did have my fair share in other departments, my blood pressure is up and down and I always get a high reading whenever I'm at Klinik Kesihatan and I also have GDM. Well, you get some, you lose some. So, I am on my biweekly BP monitoring and fortnightly BSP monitoring. Overall, results are okay and I have to watch what I eat basically.

My check-ups are done at Klinik Kesihatan Presint 9 Putrajaya and I have to say I have a good experience. Nurses are kind, very kind and doctors are very informative. I think the thing about KK is they are on their toes all the time, which is good but also sometimes it gives me panic attacks LOL. I have to go to KK twice a month because of my GDM but that's alright, at least the baby can be monitored closely.

We plan to have the baby at Hospital Putrajaya, I have booked for my FPP under Dr Hazim and my first check-up with him was supposed to be last week but he had to attend an emergency so I was referred to another doctor which is very soft spoken and kind. We talked a little, I mean before coming to see Dr Hazim, I have prepared around 10 questions to ask him but he wasn't there and I felt like there was no point asking the other doctor because the next check-up, I won't be seeing her. I hope my next appointment, I get to see Dr Hazim and I can ask him my questions.

I think all in all, it has been an easy pregancy, Alhamdulillah. No weird cravings at all, other than some cempedak goreng, mangosteens, kari kepala ikan and cakes. Hadi has to be grateful I supposed LOL.

Looking forward to the next few weeks and my EDD will be on 14th May, which is in the middle of Ramadhan so good luck me!
