Tibi, founded in 1997 by Amy Smilovic, always has this sporty vibe to the brand. Case in point, every year, the RTW Spring collections have been projecting that vibe for as long as I can remember.
For Spring 2014, colors don't take the centre stage as the palettes are neutral hues with the occasional green and orange popping on the runway. What takes centre stage? I think the structure, from boxy cut tops to crop variants to flowy dresses with the flirty fringy bits (thanks to The Great Gatsby for all the flapper-esque quality in the clothes for RTW Spring 2014). Fabrics range from khakis for coats, leather for the moto jackets, chiffon for the feminine silhouette for the dresses and those mesh like for the tops. Also sweat pants are a staple in most runways including Tibi's.
