I actually just discovered this band when they released their second album, Repave in September. They have their debut album back in 2009. The thing that made me gravitated towards this band is it is one of Justin Vernon's many projects. As everyone knows I am such a HUGE fan of Bon Iver, which is essentially Justin Vernon.
This album is filled with soothing sounds and excellent lyrics, just like the ones in the 2 Bon Iver's albums but with a happier, brighter vibe. I mean, you can listen to this album and not feel depressed. I have to admit Bon Iver's songs are depressing, but this, no, no at all.
Such a plot twist.
For being such an uplifting album, this is definitely high on my best of 2013 list.
